New Michelin Star Restaurant to Open in Acapulco

The inauguration date of the new Mexican restaurant in Acapulco is not yet completely confirmed, but it is expected to open its doors in May of this year. The establishment will have two other restaurants in the hotel, one sushi and the other Italian, led by chef Paolo from Florence.

Carlos Gaytán, Michelin star chef, is very involved in the development of the concept. According to him, it is a tribute to his mother and the flavors of his childhood that he plans to bring to fine dining. The menu will include dishes with regional ingredients such as iguana, venison, rabbit, and huilotas, presented in a reinterpreted way with gourmet techniques.

The collaboration for this project has been made possible thanks to the interest of the CEO of Mundo Imperial, Seyed Rezvani, in expanding the culinary offerings in Acapulco. The help of architect Ramón Alsina has been requested, known in Acapulco for his work on various iconic restaurants. The opening of this restaurant comes at a key moment for the tourism industry in Acapulco, which is seeking to renew itself after the devastation caused by hurricanes.

Carlos Gaytán, the first Mexican chef to receive a Michelin star, joins the efforts to boost tourism in Acapulco with his new restaurant called "Tete: cocina del alma". This fine dining establishment aims to offer traditional gastronomy from Guerrero and is expected to open its doors in the summer. Gaytán expresses that this project is very significant for him as he returns to his coastal land after 35 years to be part of its culinary resurgence.
