In Acapulco, Guerrero, the State Attorney General's Office in collaboration with different security entities managed to detain two men presumably involved in the femicide of a woman whose body was found buried in the yard of her home in the Jardín Mangos neighborhood.

The victim, identified as Katerine, about 22 years old, was murdered with a kitchen knife and buried in a clandestine grave at her own residence. After receiving a complaint, the Attorney General's Office initiated a joint operation with the Ministerial Investigation Police and the National Guard to capture the suspects.

One of the alleged perpetrators, Ángel, 22 years old, who turned out to be the victim's husband, allegedly physically assaulted Katerine after an argument, causing injuries to her abdomen. His brother, unofficially identified as Fidel, was also taken into custody following the operation.

Authorities confirmed that the femicide took place during the early morning hours of Wednesday, and thanks to the report from the mother of one of the alleged murderers, a rapid response from the security forces was achieved for the detention of the suspects. The detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry to advance in the investigation of the case.
