As for tropical depression Once-E, the National Water Commission (Conagua) indicated that it weakened to a residual low pressure, located 75 km west-southwest of Barra de Tonalá, Chiapas, and 85 km southeast of Salina Cruz, Oaxaca. Until Wednesday, October 2, it was forecasted that the tropical depression would strengthen to become a tropical storm that would cause heavy and extreme rainfall in the southern states of the country, mainly Oaxaca, Guerrero, and Chiapas. However, on the afternoon of this Thursday, it weakened to become a residual low pressure, although the rains will remain in southern Mexico.
It is forecast that regions of the state of Guerrero, Oaxaca, and Veracruz will experience torrential rainfall, while in the entities of Campeche, Chiapas, and Tabasco, there will be very strong rains.
