Sam's Club Universidad Closes Due to Permit Issues

The doors of Sam's Club Universidad in the Benito Juárez mayoralty were closed on Sunday, March 9, due to a lack of permits to operate. The building displayed suspension seals, a result of an inspection conducted by the authorities of the Administrative Verification Institute (INVEA) following complaints from neighbors. These complaints indicated that the loading area of the establishment was causing traffic blockages on Mexico Coyoacán street, as well as garbage accumulation.

During the inspection, authorities found that the documentation of Sam's Club Universidad had inconsistencies that did not meet the necessary requirements for its legal operation, resulting in the placement of the suspension seals. The mayor of Benito Juárez, Luis Mendoza, emphasized that maintaining order and security for the neighbors is his priority. He highlighted that they will not tolerate commercial establishments causing disturbances to residents and that they must comply with all the required documents for their optimal functioning.
