The mayor of Benito Juárez, Luis Mendoza, expressed his commitment to implement new strategies to support the economic sector linked to bullfighting at the Plaza de Toros México. This came after the head of Government announced the prohibition of bullfights with violence through the creation of the legal figure 'violence-free bullfighting spectacle.'

Mendoza supported Clara Brugada's proposal for the transition of bullfighting into a non-violent spectacle. He stated that the Benito Juárez mayor's office will remain attentive to legal decisions and will act in accordance with its powers. The mayor mentioned the importance of offering support to the bullfighting sector, considering that many families depend on this economic activity.

In his statements, Luis Mendoza emphasized the economic relevance of the Plaza de Toros México and expressed his support for respecting any legal determination made by the Congress of Mexico City regarding bullfighting.
