Today, the national president, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, will give a conference from the Second Naval Zone Los Cabos, located in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur. The transmission is scheduled for 8:30 AM Central Time, which is why Sheinbaum mentioned that they were in Los Cabos, Baja California.
It is important to note that her predecessor, former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, used to hold these types of events during his weekend tours, a practice that the president will continue this Friday by giving her first conference from Los Cabos, highlighting the theme of austerity that characterizes her administration.
On a commercial flight from the Mexico City International Airport to San José del Cabo, Sheinbaum traveled just like López Obrador during his weekend tours. During flight AM 0388 on Thursday at 8:00 PM, several people asked to take photos with the president, who also greeted citizens in the aisle.
In addition to Sheinbaum, also present on the flight were the Secretary of Wellness, Ariadna Montiel, the head of the Health Secretariat, David Kershenobich, and the General Coordinator of Intergovernmental Affairs and Social Participation, Leticia Ramírez. Subsequently, the president will inaugurate the Mulegé Hospital in Baja California.
President Sheinbaum's morning conference, known as La Mañanera del Pueblo, will begin at 8:30 AM in most of Mexican territory. Since she assumed the position as Constitutional President of the United Mexican States on October 1, this is the first time Sheinbaum will give her conference in front of the media from a location different than the National Palace.
