According to the attorney, all evidence has been gathered and the victim's mother was informed before the case was made public last week. The young Yeimi did not leave the vessel according to the attorney's statement. Yeimi Alondra Aguirre López was reported missing on September 27 and is presumed to have been murdered on a boat in Cabo San Lucas. Authorities have mentioned that the alleged perpetrator and another companion allegedly disposed of Yeimi's lifeless body beyond the tourist area of Baja California Sur, in open sea.
In light of Yeimi's disappearance and the alleged femicide, civil society, security and rescue bodies have joined efforts in the search for the young woman's body. Collaboration has been received from organizations such as the Fire Department, FONMAR, and the Navy Secretariat. The alleged perpetrator has been linked to the process for the disappearance of a person committed by individuals, and investigations continue to charge with femicide.
