
38 projects were awarded at the Mexican Fair of Science and Engineering (Femeci) 2025, which included representatives from 17 states of Mexico. Three other projects from Jalisco stood out as finalists in the competition. Among these Jalisco projects are: "First Aid Kit for Emotions on the Move", "Air Quality Monitoring System, Prevention of Respiratory Diseases" and "Ecological Model of an Open System for the Cultivation of Methanotrophic and Methanogenic Bacteria from Lake Chapala".
In this edition of Femeci, delegations from states such as San Luis Potosí, Michoacán, and Sonora stood out. The Potosí teams achieved a first place and two second places, while Michoacán secured a first, second, and third place in various categories. Students from Michoacán obtained three first places in Physics and Astronomy, Engineering and Technology, and Agroindustry and Food.
In the competition, six teams of students from Jalisco participated successfully, winning the national first place in the Environmental Sciences category. The winning project, called "Design and Evaluation of a Filtration and Neutralization Prototype for Nejayote", was developed by students from the Center for Industrial Technical Education (CETI) Tonalá campus. In total, Jalisco participated with six teams that received recognition in different categories after qualifying for the State Fair of Science and Engineering of Jalisco (FECIJal).
Femeci 2025 took place in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and was organized by the National Network of Councils and State Organizations of Science and Technology (REDNACECYT). At the closing and awards ceremony, a team from Sonora stood out by securing second place with the project "AstroBot", a robot for semiconductor testing.
