Climate Problems Affect Match in Ciudad Juárez

Matchday 17 of the 2025 Clausura Tournament continues to surprise fans, and on this occasion, a last-minute news surrounds the clash between Querétaro and FC Juárez. The bad weather has brought problems to the Gallos team, preventing their travel to the border to face the Bravos.

A sandstorm in Ciudad Juárez has caused the Querétaro team to be unable to arrive at the borderlands. Authorities reported that due to this situation, no planes could land, leaving the team stranded.

For this reason, it is reported that the first team, the U23, and the U19 of Querétaro have remained at the León airport awaiting instructions on what the next step will be. The current plan is that the next day, early in the morning, all representatives of the club can travel without complications, as so far only the team delegation has managed to relocate, flying first to Monterrey and then traveling by land to their destination.

The team's original flight was scheduled for 2:30 PM on that Friday, but it was canceled due to the sandstorm in Ciudad Juárez. Although no club or Liga MX has issued a statement regarding this issue so far, it is expected that more details about this logistical problem will be provided soon.

The match between Querétaro and Juárez is scheduled to take place on April 19 at 7:00 PM at the Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez. Although there is nothing at stake in this match, as Juárez has secured their ticket and Querétaro is not competing for anything, the uncertainty remains about the realization of the same.
