Lack of Security Sparks Concerns in Mexibús

Concerns grow over safety in Coacalco's Mexibús after viral videos show illicit activities, highlighting insufficient security measures on public transportation.

Lack of Security Sparks Concerns in Mexibús

Security became a concern with the Mexibús long before explicit images were circulated. Recently, videos emerged showing a new technique for cell phone theft, where criminals seized devices from passengers through the window while the bus stopped at a station. These criminal actions revealed the lack of security personnel and preventive measures in public transport units.

On this occasion, it was reported on social media that several individuals recorded a sexual video inside a bus of the Mexibús Line 2 while it was traveling on the José López Portillo road in Coacalco, once again highlighting the absence of surveillance within the vehicles. The rapid dissemination of the images raised concerns among users about the security conditions of this mode of transport operating in the northern area of the State of Mexico.

The Mexibús has been an important resource for transportation in the region; however, the lack of security guarantees for passengers has become evident. Cases of cell phone theft during the journey, taking advantage of the crowding and lack of supervision by the operators, have left users feeling vulnerable while using this service.

Mexican authorities have initiated the corresponding investigations to clarify the facts related to the sexual video recorded on the Mexibús. The identity of the individuals involved is still unknown, but it reflects the need to strengthen security in this public transport system to protect passengers from risky and vulnerable situations.
