Enrique Quintana Arrested for Fraud in Cocoyoc

Enrique Quintana, known for his ostentatious life on social media and his alleged relationships with celebrities like boxer Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez, was arrested on suspicion of participating in scams and the theft of a luxurious Ferrari car. His modus operandi included pretending to own a company of exotic vehicles to attract victims from whom he demanded large sums of money for cars he never delivered. According to journalist Carlos Jiménez, Enrique shared photos alongside luxury cars, attended sports events, and mingled with public figures to bolster his facade.

During his detention, Quintana voluntarily handed over his belongings before being taken to prison, where he will face charges of fraud and vehicle theft. His fraudulent activities included using a website to promote luxury cars at attractive prices. Authorities in the State of Mexico continue the investigations, as it is suspected that there are more victims who have not yet filed complaints.

Enrique was arrested while playing golf in Cocoyoc, Morelos, after agents from the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico, in collaboration with the mexiquense Investigation Police and the State Police of Morelos, had been following him for weeks. It is noteworthy that he shared videos and images on social media showing him interacting with Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez, giving an aura of authenticity to his scams. Quintana persuaded potential buyers, demanding large sums of money upfront and then disappearing, thus deceiving wealthy individuals.
