Violent Incidents Shake Comalcalco

In the Zapotal ranch, third section, the first attack occurred, in which three people — two men and one woman — lost their lives due to gunfire. According to initial reports, clandestine beer sales were taking place at that location.

The next incident took place in the Santa Amalia colony, specifically at the corner of Rosendo Taracena Street and Pipila Street in Comalcalco, where two men were executed. According to witnesses, one of the deceased was a taxi driver, as his vehicle was found abandoned at the crime scene.

The governor of Tabasco, Javier May Rodríguez, after facing three violent days with attacks on businesses and vehicles set on fire in less than a month, committed to obtaining "decisive results" as soon as possible. The governor attributed the actions to rival gangs seeking "propaganda" through criminal acts in an attempt to intimidate authorities and instill fear in the population.

The night of Saturday, October 26, was marked by violence in Tabasco, with a preliminary toll of nine people executed in different incidents occurring in the municipalities of Villahermosa and Comalcalco. In the state capital, in the Indeco colony, gunfire was reported at a place known as El Triángulo, where four people lost their lives.

Regarding the circumstances in the Indeco colony, it is presumed that the victims may have been part of a group from the Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) that was traveling in two vehicles and was attacked by armed individuals, although this has not yet been confirmed by authorities. The general coordinator of Social Communication of the agency, Fernández Vázquez Rosas, mentioned through social media that it apparently involved an armed confrontation.

State Police forces arrived at the scene, while the Attorney General's Office of Tabasco began the corresponding investigations, although, so far, more details about these events have not been revealed. In Comalcalco, five people were murdered in two different events.
