The Cuauhtémoc Mayor's Office presented "Amazónica IA", a new digital tool that will allow citizens to access information and file reports instantly through WhatsApp and phone calls, with the goal of bringing the government closer to the people and speeding up attention. During the announcement, Mayor Alessandra Rojo de la Vega explained that this system will function as a virtual assistant capable of guiding residents and visitors in real time. "Amazónica IA is the government on your cell phone," stated the mayor, detailing that the platform will allow you to: Find restaurants and gastronomic options, Locate public services, Identify Violet Points (safe spaces for women), File complaints and citizen reports, Receive guidance on procedures and immediate assistance. The service will be available starting in April and seeks to eliminate bureaucracy and waiting times. Alessandra Rojo de la Vega highlighted that the tool responds to one of the main citizen demands: a close and efficient government. "Today you take your phone, send a message, and in seconds you have an answer: what to do, where to go, how to solve it." The mayor emphasized that with this technology, they seek to leave behind practices such as long lines, unnecessary transfers, or lack of information. Boost to local tourism and economy The implementation of Amazónica IA also has a strategic focus towards international events such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as it will facilitate visitors' knowledge of the demarcation's cultural and gastronomic offer. "People don't just come to visit, they come to live Mexico," she said, highlighting that the tool will help promote local consumption and generate more economic opportunities. Digital and close government In addition to facilitating citizen attention, Amazónica IA will allow data to be compiled to improve decision-making in the mayor's office.
