
A woman identified as Karina "N" received a preventive prison order for the crime of attempted femicide against her partner's mother, in an incident that occurred on March 5 in Cuautla, Morelos. The aggression that led to her detention was reported by a son of the victim, who called 911 for help, stating that it was not the first time his mother and sister had been mistreated by Karina.
The detention took place when police officers arrived at the victim's home in Cuautla and found her with injuries on her body, leading to her being taken for medical attention. At the scene, Karina "N" was arrested and later made available to the Public Prosecutor's Office. The Specialized Prosecutor's Office for the Investigation and Prosecution of the Crime of Femicide activated the Gender Perspective Action Protocol and began the corresponding investigation. After obtaining the initial results of the investigation, the prosecutor's office presented to the judicial authority the detention control hearing, charging formulation, and request for precautionary measures against Karina for the crime of attempted femicide.
In another case, in Ayala, Norberto "N", a 62-year-old elderly man, was charged with the crime of aggravated rape in a real homogeneous competition against a 17-year-old adolescent, whom he abused several times. On April 12, 2022, the detained man went to the young woman's home in the Centro neighborhood of Ayala to help his brother with some tasks, but took advantage of the situation to abuse his niece, threatening to harm her mother if she revealed what had happened.
The sexual assaults continued until the victim informed her mother, who filed a complaint with the Eastern Prosecutor's Office, triggering an arrest warrant. Agents from the Criminal Investigation Agency arrested Norberto "N" on March 8 in the Centro neighborhood of Cuautla, and he was admitted to the district jail where he will remain until his legal situation is determined.
