Elements of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Morelos conducted a search at the house of Dionicio Emanuel Álvarez Anonales, former director of the Tequesquitengo Lake Trust, where they discovered human skulls and bloodstains. The residence is located in the Lomas de Cortés neighborhood in Cuernavaca, Morelos, and the investigation originated from an arrest warrant related to alleged acts of corruption.
The human skulls were found in a room of the laundry area, leading to a request for the intervention of Forensic Services and the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Enforced Disappearance of Persons from the Morelos Prosecutor's Office to carry out the necessary procedures. This finding led to a new investigation for additional crimes, in addition to continuing the process to enforce the arrest warrant against Dionicio Emanuel Álvarez Anonales, who had previously served as an official under Cuauhtémoc Blanco Bravo.
In a prior attempt to locate Álvarez, investigative agents went to the municipality of Cuautla, where he served as Treasurer, but his capture was unsuccessful due to protection provided by some members of the city council. However, a luxury vehicle was located in his name, and his residence in Cuernavaca was identified, being the latter the site of the search carried out during the afternoon hours and the early morning of the following day, although the person in question was not found on the property.
Dionicio Álvarez Anonales faces accusations of embezzlement, illicit exercise of public office, abusive exercise, and misappropriation of public funds exceeding 20 million pesos, related to a supposed musical event in the Tequesquitengo lake area that never took place. He is currently a fugitive, with an active search warrant and a reward offered for information that assists in his location.
