Authorities from Morelos and Mexico City are collaborating to clarify an attack on the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway that left one person dead and three injured. Although no arrests have been made yet, the investigation is still open, and more information is expected soon, stated Omar García Harfuch, head of the Secretariat of Public Security and Citizen Protection. So far, details about those responsible have not been revealed. After the incident, a security operation was deployed in the area. According to Miguel Ángel Urrutia Lozano, head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, the event was not an attempted robbery as initially believed, but rather a conflict between the occupants of the vehicles that triggered the armed confrontation. The attack left three people injured: a young woman with two gunshot wounds to the legs and two men with bullet wounds, one in the abdomen and another in an unspecified area. The victims were taken to hospitals in Cuernavaca, where a woman accompanying them passed away. Witnesses mentioned that the involved vehicles displayed aggressive behaviors before coming to a stop.
