The last time he was seen was on the morning of April 14 when he was heading to his office on Cuautla Street, El Miraval neighborhood, in Cuernavaca. It is also specified that he was carrying a black canvas backpack, a large black digital rubber watch, and a hoop earring in his left ear.
The last documented public activity of Oñate Galván took place on March 28 when he was a speaker in a training session on Internal Regulations of the State Executive Power. During this training, normative contents related to the structure of the regulations and their practical application in state public administration were addressed. Among the distinguishing features of Mario Enrique Oñate Galván are a tattoo with the inscription "SAFEN 1985" on the inner forearm, a 1.5-centimeter bump on the upper left side of the head, a small dark mole on the left cheek, and separation between the upper teeth.
