The Church criticizes abortion and its social impact

The Catholic Church in Mexico strongly criticized a recent abortion case, describing it as 'a death of a developing human being.' In this specific case, it was emphasized that it was not only cruel but also illegal because it involved an advanced pregnancy. The Primatial Archdiocese of Mexico, through its editorial 'Desde la Fe', pointed out that fear and lack of social support are crucial factors that can lead young parents, in the face of uncertainty, to make wrong decisions.

This act has generated an intense debate in society about abortion and social responsibility, with the Catholic Church emphasizing that babies do not deserve to be victims of circumstances. It was mentioned that the legalization of abortion, despite being proposed as a solution by some, is not the correct answer. The Church highlighted the importance of reflecting on the suffering of an abandoned baby fighting to survive, as a reminder of the cruelty behind these practices.

The lack of education in values and responsibilities, as well as the depersonalization of developing life by society, were topics addressed in the statement. The responsibility of society in the lack of promotion of alternatives such as adoption was questioned, and misleading advertising that minimizes the seriousness of abortion was condemned.

The initial hearing for this case is scheduled for Sunday, February 16, at the oral trial courts of Cuautitlán, State of Mexico. In it, the defendants will be informed about the investigation against them for the presumed crime of abandonment and possible attempted homicide. The couple was caught on security cameras abandoning a baby in a parked car in Tultitlán, State of Mexico.

In conclusion, the Catholic Church in Mexico prayed for the future of the young people involved in this case and the baby, entrusting them to Saint Mary Virgin for their protection and emphasizing the importance of valuing life in all its stages.
