
Army elements were conducting a surveillance tour in the town of Tarimoro, in the municipality of Degollado, Jalisco, where the PEMEX Salamanca - Guadalajara pipeline passes, when they detected containers with fuel theft (huachicol) and four clandestine connections. During the operation, 12,613 liters of hydrocarbons, specifically regular gasoline, were secured.
According to the investigation file, the soldiers informed the Federal Prosecutor's Office about the discovery in the Salamanca - Guadalajara pipeline at kilometer 121.5. In addition to the containers and the secured gasoline, four hoses that are part of the evidence found at the site were discovered.
The Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) reported no arrests in connection with this finding, and all the secured items were made available to the Federal Public Ministry (MPF). The relevant authorities continue with the necessary procedures to act in accordance with the law in this case.
The Attorney General's Office has called on citizens to report any activity related to fuel theft (huachicoleo) or clandestine hydrocarbon connections.
