In Durango, leaflets have emerged accusing several politicians, police commanders, and public figures of collaborating with drug trafficking. These pamphlets have been found in three municipalities of the state: Gómez Palacio, Santiago Papasquiaro, and mountainous areas of Durango, apparently distributed by members of 'Los Chapitos'.
The leaflets showcase 29 officials who allegedly have links and operate under the command of the criminal group led by brothers Alejandro Cabrera Sarabia, alias 'El 02', José Luis Cabrera Sarabia, alias 'El 02 bis', and Ramón Peña Pérez, alias 'El 22', faction of 'La Mayiza'. The pamphlets were dropped by air in communities in the mountainous regions of Durango.
Among those named in the leaflets are the governor, police chiefs, as well as commanders of the SEDENA, National Guard, and FGR stationed in the state. Mayors of the municipalities of Gómez Palacio, Santiago Papasquiaro, and Durango are also mentioned, regions that are part of the Golden Triangle of Drug Trafficking, along with Chihuahua and Sinaloa.
So far, Durango authorities have not made any comments regarding this. Senator Margarita Valdez had requested that the Enjambre operation be expanded throughout the country, including Durango, to identify those who collaborate with criminals. Businesspeople from the Chilchota industry and union leaders are also mentioned in the leaflets.
Durango is a region where the faction of 'El Mayo' Zambada predominates, with the Cabrera Sarabia family at the forefront.
