In the city of El Rosario, Sinaloa, Mexico, an incident occurred at the Santa Fe mine, trapping four miners underground. The incident happened on Wednesday, March 25th, at 2:00 PM local time due to the collapse of a tailings dam. According to the state governor, Rubén Rocha Moya, 21 of the 25 workers inside the mine managed to escape on their own, while four remain trapped. It is reported that the four trapped miners are alive and have already been supplied with oxygen and water. A unified command post has been established for the rescue operation, involving personnel from the National Defense, Navy, Civil Protection, and mining company specialists. Rescuers are maintaining constant ventilation in the mine and are conducting vertical drilling to a depth of up to 300 meters to establish contact with the miners.
