Increase in Procedures and Budget of the Judicial Power

The president of the Judicial Power of the State, Arturo Salinas, reported that the institution has experienced a 20% increase in the number of procedures, a 20% increase in cases, and a 15% decrease in staff. Despite having resorted to technology to face this situation, Salinas indicated that the current scenario is unsustainable.

Part of the budget will be allocated to projects that will benefit citizens. This includes the construction of a new Justice Palace in the municipality of García and the remodeling of the existing one in San Pedro, as the current facilities are insufficient and not accessible for people with disabilities.

Salinas mentioned the need to decentralize the Family Coexistence Centers, as the existing ones are insufficient and inconvenient for those who have to travel from distant areas of the state to receive care. There is a plan to establish new centers in different municipalities to ensure more equitable access to services.

Regarding the budget required for the year 2025, Salinas indicated that 3.6 billion pesos are needed, which represents an 11% increase compared to the request from the previous year. This amount would be used to cover the 400 existing vacancies in the institution, which means a 15% decrease in staff due to the inability to fill vacancies since 2023 and 2024.

Additionally, Salinas highlighted the importance of technological modernization projects, information security, and the implementation of the National Code of Civil and Family Procedures in the Judicial Power to improve its efficiency and provide better service to citizens.
