In the town of General Bravo, Nuevo León, there was a confrontation between alleged members of organized crime and agents of the Nuevo León Police, resulting in the death of five armed civilians and leaving one security agent injured. The state police confirmed the incident and reported the seizure of five firearms and one vehicle.

An injured officer was evacuated by helicopter and is receiving medical attention at a hospital in the metropolitan area, according to the authorities in a statement. It was noted that the armed civilians were "neutralized" during the confrontation. This incident occurred on the same day that four plastic bags containing human remains were found in Galeana, Nuevo León.

The event took place on the Matehuala-Saltillo highway, specifically at kilometer 118 in the ejido San José de Raíces. These events add to the growing violence in the region, where authorities have intensified efforts to contain organized crime.
