Recently, several cases have emerged where people were lured to the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara with fake job offers. The Government of Jalisco has shared key recommendations to identify these offers in time and protect oneself.
Since December 2024, the State Government has carried out security operations at the bus terminals in the AMG, managing to identify 18 cases of people who fell for false job offers. The latest known case involved a 15-year-old adolescent at the New Bus Station on March 9.
Among the recommendations to avoid falling into these traps, it is advised to be wary of vacancies offering high salaries without prior experience and without details about the activities to be performed. It is also urged to verify the authenticity of the company, not to accept interviews in informal locations, and not to share personal information such as birth certificates or addresses.
It is recommended to inform a trusted person about the location of the interview and to avoid getting into unknown vehicles. These measures aim to protect individuals from potential dangerous situations when falling for deceptive job offers.
