Security Meeting in Guadalajara

The C5 Urban Shield Jalisco organized a working meeting with representatives from the C5, C4 and C2 of the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara (AMG) to discuss security issues. In this meeting, the operation of the regional video surveillance system was adjusted to expand coverage and response capacity to incidents. Authorities from the three levels of government participated in the meeting, as well as the State Secretary of Security, the National Guard (GN), and the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena).

In the framework of this meeting, mechanisms for incident analysis were agreed upon, from capturing to documenting information. These actions are part of strengthening Metropolitan Security through more effective technological and operational coordination.

Recently, the Jalisco government announced the implementation of the C5i project (Urban Shield + Artificial Intelligence) as part of the Jalisco C5 Shield, aimed at improving the prevention of insecurity in the state. This new project will incorporate the use of Artificial Intelligence, allowing for a significant increase in video surveillance in Jalisco.

The implementation of the C5i project guarantees the interconnection of the municipal C4, C5, and C2 in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara and the addition of 300 new monitoring points, resulting in a 50% increase in video surveillance capacity across the state. The C5i will also improve coordination and intelligence by having a more robust monitoring center and specialized areas for 911.
