"Italia Noemí N.", also known as "The German", was arrested in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The 43-year-old woman is considered a key figure in organized crime in the region and is alleged to be an operator of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada's Pacific Cartel in Manzanillo, Colima.
At the time of her arrest, "The German" was wearing a black hoodie, denim pants, and black sneakers. The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) reported that she was facing an active arrest warrant since 2021 for health-related crimes and violations of firearms laws. She was accused of drug trafficking at the retail level in Manzanillo, where she had a rivalry with the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
The operation that led to her capture was carried out in the Mexicaltzingo neighborhood, near the Attorney General's Office (FGR), and was coordinated by agents from the National Intelligence Center (CNI), the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena), the Secretary of the Navy (Semar), and the National Guard. According to authorities, "The German" was identified as the leader of a criminal cell in Guadalajara, where she frequently moved around.
The arrest took place around 5:00 a.m. on a Monday, according to SSPC reports.
