
In Sonora, federal authorities arrested a 29-year-old man who was transporting about 32 kilograms of fentanyl hidden in a trailer loaded with boxes of nopal. The seizure took place at a vehicle inspection point on federal highway 1460, between Navojoa and Los Mochis, specifically at kilometer 93+100, in the municipality of Huatabampo, Sonora.
During the inspection, agents discovered 30 black packages containing approximately 275,000 pills and two white packages with powdered fentanyl, totaling 32 kilograms. The estimated value of the seized drugs is 131.3 million pesos, according to the official statement.
The detainee was informed of his constitutional rights and turned over to the Public Ministry agent, who will determine his legal situation.
In a joint statement, the institutions of the Security Cabinet emphasized their commitment to work together to promote peace and prevent drugs from reaching vulnerable individuals, especially young people.
