The government of Puebla reported an aircraft crash near Huejotzingo. The plane lost contact after taking off from the airport. Four people were on board, at least three have died. Authorities have activated emergency protocols.

The Government of Puebla informed in a statement on its social networks that the crash of an aircraft was reported in the vicinity of the San Mateo Capultitlán – Santa Ana Xalmimilulco highway, in the municipality of Huejotzingo. It mentioned that personnel from the State Civil Protection Coordination was at the scene to work with emergency bodies on verification, control, and risk mitigation tasks. “Our objective is to address the situation immediately and guarantee the safety of the nearby population,” a state government spokesperson stated. According to initial reports, the aircraft, identified with the code XB-RRN, had departed from the Hermanos Serdán International Airport and lost contact shortly after takeoff. It was carrying four people on board; to this moment, at least three deaths and one survivor who was taken to a hospital for medical attention are reported. The accident occurred in crop fields near the mentioned road, where federal security forces arrived. Puebla government authorities reported that emergency protocols were activated and the site is guarded by aid bodies, but so far, the identities of the victims have not been disclosed. The Secretary of Public Security and municipal emergency bodies continue to collaborate to secure the area, coordinate traffic, and provide medical support if necessary. Additionally, elements of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) are gathering evidence to carry out the corresponding investigations. Finally, the State Civil Protection Coordination reiterated that the information is preliminary and updates will be provided as the work progresses.
