A teenager was arrested for allegedly murdering two teachers inside the "Anton Makárenko" preparatory school, in the municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán.
The attack, which occurred on the school premises, has caused a social stir not only due to the violence of the act, but also because of the perpetrator's prior activity on social networks, where he spread armed content and hate messages.
According to official information from the Michoacán Public Security Secretariat, the incident was reported after firearm detonations, which triggered a joint operation between the National Guard and the Municipal Police.
Upon arriving at the scene, authorities located two women with bullet wounds, who were dead. A minor was detained at the location, identified as the presumed responsible party, and a caliber 5.56 rifle with a magazine was secured from him.
In his stories, the alleged aggressor was seen dressed in black in front of a mirror, holding a long-barreled weapon.
In another post, he shared images related to online communities associated with the "incel" movement, including references to concepts such as "looksmax" and theories about physical characteristics.
Accompanying these images was a message in English expressing hatred towards feminists.
Videos began to circulate on social media of the moment when the young man was subdued by security elements within the educational institution.
However, one of the most unsettling aspects of the case is the teenager's prior activity on his Instagram.
Meanwhile, the case has reignited the debate on social media about the influence of hate speech on digital platforms, in the case of the incel community, and the extreme acts of violence that are generated.
"Because I have decided to send the feminists who have always ruined my life to the other world," the translation reads.
Authorities continue with the investigations to clarify the facts and determine the complete context of the attack.
