A 15-year-old teenager was detained on Tuesday after shooting two teachers at a private high school in the municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas, in the Mexican state of Michoacán, local authorities reported. According to state security officials, after being denied entry for arriving late, the student returned home, took a 5.56 caliber rifle supplied with a 40-round magazine, and burst into the school, shooting directly at the two teachers. At the scene, the bodies of two women with multiple bullet impacts were found. The municipal police reported that they managed to subdue and disarm the student, who was handed over to the state prosecutor's office.
