School Shooting in Mexico: Two Teachers Killed

In Mexico, in the state of Michoacan, a shooting occurred at a school, resulting in the deaths of two teachers. The suspect is a 15-year-old teenager who was detained by police. According to Prosecutor Carlos Torres Piña, the teenager arrived at the school around 7:40 a.m. with a weapon hidden in a guitar case. He entered the building and shot both teachers at the main entrance. At the time of his arrest, the teenager still had ammunition, and about 47 cartridges were found in the guitar case. The prosecutor specified that the attacker used all the cartridges in the magazine and did not perform additional reloads. The weapon was found outside the school grounds. Authorities are also examining the teenager's digital activity, trying to find his phone to understand the motives for the crime. The teenager's mother is cooperating with the investigation, and he reportedly took the weapon from his home. The prosecutor also stated that the teenager had posted a video on social media a few hours before the attack, in which he was dressed the same way as on the day of the crime. Currently, the investigation is preparing to request the teenager's arrest; however, due to his age, the maximum sentence will be three years in prison.
