On Sunday, January 19, the 2025 León State Fair will host the Adoptón, an event organized by the Animal Control and Welfare Center (CCBA) aimed at providing a new lease on life for over 20 animals available for adoption. The initiative will take place at the CCBA booth located in the Livestock Zone, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Among the animals available for adoption are dogs like Manti, a 2-month-old puppy, and Canelita, a 2-year-old, as well as cats like Cuco, 2 years old, Kitty, 8 months old, and Lola, 3 years old. This is part of a broader effort to not only reduce the number of animals in street situations but also to promote responsible pet ownership and raise awareness about animal welfare in the community.
To adopt a pet during the event, certain requirements must be met, such as presenting the original and a copy of the INE identification card, bringing proof of address, as well as having the appropriate elements for transporting the animal, such as a collar and leash for dogs, and a carrier for cats.
If you are unable to attend the Adoptón, the CCBA offers an adoption program available every day through the official website of the municipality of León. On this platform, interested parties can find information about available pets and the necessary steps to complete the adoption process. Adopting a pet entails responsibility and a long-term commitment, as it involves providing a suitable home, medical care, and affection to a living being that will depend on our care.
