On Monday, January 20, the in-person voting day for the Participa León 2025 program began in the city of León. The initiative aims to engage residents in decision-making regarding works and projects that will directly impact their communities. For those who could not attend in person, online voting was available through the official website or via WhatsApp until 6:00 p.m.

The municipal president, Ale Gutiérrez, participated in this process by casting her vote in front of the Municipal Presidency and highlighting the importance of active citizen participation. According to her words, "this program reflects our commitment to listen to and address what people really need."

The citizen consultation exercise not only encourages active participation but also launches a significant budget. 230 million pesos will be allocated to carry out the selected projects, demonstrating that citizen priorities can become a reality with will and organization.

With 71 voting modules distributed across the 7 delegations of León, citizens had until 6:00 p.m. to cast their votes. By midday, 49,460 votes had already been recorded, marking historic participation. At the end of the day, over 50,000 votes were cast, evidencing the citizen commitment to this democratic exercise.

The program, led by the Secretariat of Linking and Attention to the People of León, emphasizes the importance of listening to the community. The voting points were strategically located to ensure access for all communities to this participatory process.
