
The mayor expressed her desire to have the best professionals in the Municipal Police while presiding over the graduation of the 61st generation of the Metropolitan Security Academy. In total, 11 women and 9 men completed a rigorous 12-month training focused on instilling values such as honesty, loyalty, and respect.
During the ceremony, the municipal president urged the new officers to perform their duties with honor, respect, and love for the city. The Secretary of Security, Jorge Guillen Rico, predicted that this new group would significantly contribute to strengthening the corporation.
One of the cadets, Carlos Francisco Torres, representing his colleagues, shared the responsibility they feel in wearing the uniform and committed to working for a safer society with courage and applying what they have learned.
In the same vein, Ale Gutiérrez from the Metropolitan University of Public Security emphasized the importance of police acting with justice and dignity, reminding them that the uniform symbolizes a great responsibility towards the citizenry.
For her part, Elia Bárbara Lugo Delgado, Undersecretary of Prevention of the Secretary of Security and Peace of Guanajuato, highlighted the joint effort of state and municipal governments to strengthen security in the region.
In total, 20 new members joined the Secretary of Security, Prevention, and Citizen Protection, with the goal of providing León with the best officers and the best Secretary of Security, as emphasized by Gutiérrez.
