
In the 2024 edition of Participa León, a historic participation of 36,794 votes was recorded, representing a 412% increase compared to the first edition, which had 8,924 participants.
On Monday, January 20, 2025, citizens will be able to cast their vote physically at any of the 71 available voting modules from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Among the proposed projects are improvements in sports infrastructure, such as the rehabilitation of the State Sports Auditorium, which includes the renovation of the flooring, roofing, ventilation, and lighting.
In an effort to promote citizen participation and improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods and communities of León, the municipal government has launched the fourth edition of Participa León 2025. This program will allocate 230 million pesos for the realization of 284 projects proposed by the citizens themselves.
Compared to the previous year, the budget has increased by 15 million pesos, from 215 to 230 million, representing a 15% increase. This increase reflects the municipality's commitment to active citizen participation in decision-making that affects their environment. Additionally, at the Luis I. Rodríguez Sports Unit, the construction of a multi-track synthetic grass field with lighting is planned.
The mayor of León, Alejandra Gutiérrez Campos, emphasized that she will maintain an active listening to the needs of citizens to 'help them fulfill their dreams and improve their quality of life.' Meanwhile, the Secretary of Connection and Attention to the People of León, Allan León Aguirre, explained that more than 21 concrete workshops were held with the participation of over a thousand citizens, ensuring that the projects reflect the true needs of the community.
