Large Fire in León Controlled Without Casualties

On the morning of this Wednesday, a large-scale fire occurred in a pallet warehouse in the Industrial colony of León, near the Central de Abastos. The fire caused a thick column of smoke that alerted the residents of the area and mobilized emergency services after receiving reports through 911.

The fire consumed a large quantity of wooden and plastic pallets, generating a smoke column visible for several kilometers around. In response to this situation, the Heroic Fire Department of León, in collaboration with Civil Protection and the Municipal Police, arrived at the site to control the flames and prevent their spread to nearby warehouses.

During the intervention, the Municipal Police secured the area to facilitate the work of rescue teams. Fortunately, authorities reported that the fire was successfully controlled and no injuries or fatalities were reported as a result of the incident.

It is worth noting that this is not the first incident of this type in the area, as a similar fire was recorded in January 2023 in a vacant lot in Ciudad Industrial where a ton of pallets was consumed by flames. Likewise, in June of the same year, a pallet warehouse in Industrial La Pompa was also affected by a fire that required the intervention of firefighters.
