The municipal authorities of León have inaugurated two important infrastructures aimed at strengthening emergency response and safety in the city. These are the remodeled Fire Station #5 and the new security building in the South Delegation.
Fire Station #5, located in Ciudad Industrial, has undergone a total renovation with an investment of 20.6 million pesos. The remodeling work included the renewal of the foundation and metal structures, installation of new electrical and hydrosanitary networks, and improvement of the spaces designated for fire personnel. Currently, the work has been completed and is in the process of being equipped and furnished for full operation.
On the other hand, a new security complex has been built in the South Delegation that required an investment of 85 million pesos. The two-story building is being equipped and will house specialized areas for citizen assistance, police operations, road education, personnel training, health, and emergency assistance.
The Secretary of Security, Prevention, and Citizen Protection, Jorge Guillén Rico, highlighted the importance of this delegation that will not only optimize transfer times in cases of federal crimes, significantly reducing operational times, but also improve the response capacity of the Public Security Secretariat and strengthen surveillance in the southern zone of León.
With these new facilities in operation, the municipality of León strengthens its network of emergency response and public safety services, ensuring better conditions for fire and police bodies, and offering a more efficient service to the citizenry.
