Tragedy in Malinalco: Three Police Officers Killed

On Tuesday night, three municipal police officers were shot dead in Malinalco, State of Mexico during an armed attack. The incident occurred on the Malinalco-Tenancingo highway, where the officers were on patrol. Initial reports indicate that assailants fired upon the officers from a moving vehicle.


Tragedy in Malinalco: Three Police Officers Killed

In Malinalco, State of Mexico, three municipal police officers lost their lives in an armed attack that occurred Tuesday night on the Malinalco-Tenancingo road, near the neighborhoods of Santa María and San Juan where they were on patrol. According to initial reports, the attackers fired from a moving vehicle, causing the deaths of the officers identified as Gerardo “N”, Álvaro “N” and Jiovany “N”.

Federal and state force members arrived at the scene to assist the officers, but unfortunately, they had already passed away. The area was cordoned off by the personnel of the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) as part of the investigations. Despite an operation being implemented, the arrest of those responsible has not been achieved.

So far, no statements have been issued by municipal or state authorities regarding this tragic attack on the police officers.
