Operation in Marín Rescues Dog from Abuse

Following a report of alleged animal abuse in the municipality of Marín, the Environmental Division, in coordination with the Secretariat of Environment of Nuevo León, the State Environmental Prosecutor's Office, and Civil Force, carried out an inspection operation at a home located in the Ejido Marín neighborhood. During the first inspection, it was not possible to locate either the alleged aggressor or the animal in question. However, after various verification actions, information was obtained about the location of the canine, which was being cared for by a citizen in a private residence. Subsequently, authorities had the animal in their sight: Tyson, a large, unneutered male domestic dog, approximately 10 months old. The animal was found in good physical condition, alert, and with an active behavior. It was transported to a private veterinary clinic to receive a comprehensive medical evaluation. 'Citizen participation through the 070 hotline is essential for us to act promptly in cases of animal abuse. Each report allows us to coordinate efforts between the Civil Force Environmental Division and the State Environmental Prosecutor's Office,' stated Raúl Lozano Caballero, Secretary of Environment. He added that these operations, such as the one carried out in Marín, make it possible to locate and safeguard animals like Tyson thanks to citizen complaints. A formal complaint will be filed The State Environmental Prosecutor's Office will file the corresponding complaint with the Attorney General's Office of the State of Nuevo León and will follow up on the investigations to locate the alleged responsible party and clarify the facts. The Civil Force Environmental Division reiterates its commitment to responding promptly and coordinatedly to every citizen report related to animal welfare, acting in strict compliance with the law and in collaboration with environmental and municipal authorities to ensure an effective response on behalf of living beings that cannot speak.
