The Metrobús of Mexico City will have an expansion of Line 7, which runs from Indios Verdes to Campo Marte, and the creation of two new routes is expected. The head of government of CDMX, Clara Brugada Molina, during the delivery of electric buses for the Metrobús, announced that the expansion of Line 7 will reach Toreo by Ejército Nacional.

"What have we achieved with the addition of these 26 units? It's great news for public transport users! We are also betting on the sustainability of the city and the sustainability of Mobility... we are making a significant reduction in tons of carbon dioxide," expressed the capital head.

The head of government informed that the neighbors of the Agrícola Pantitlán neighborhood have requested another station for Line 4 of the Metrobús on Calle 6 and assured that they will address the demand to achieve connectivity, even with the State of Mexico. In an effort to promote electromobility and reduce polluting emissions in the capital, 26 new articulated electric buses, 18 meters long, were presented, distributed on lines 2, 5, and 6 of the public transport system.

Clara Brugada detailed that the two new Metrobús lines that will be constructed in CDMX will be Line 0, expected to run over Circuito Interior covering a distance of 46 kilometers, and Line 8 of the Metrobús, which will run over Periférico from Alameda Oriente to Toreo, with a distance of 51 kilometers.

In addition to the expansion and construction of new Metrobús routes, five new Cablebús lines are planned in Tlalpan, Álvaro Obregón, and Magdalena Contreras. For 2026, the construction of two more lines in Cuajimalpa and Xochimilco is planned. The capital government will also resume the modernization of the facilities of the Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro, prioritizing Line 3.

The CDMX Metro has announced the bidding for works on the green line that runs from Indios Verdes to Universidad, with a budget of 33 million 409 thousand 090.91 pesos. Among the scheduled works is the basic engineering for the modernization of the line and its generated and associated buildings.
