Gasoline Prices in Mexico as of February 2, 2025

On February 2, 2025, gasoline prices in Mexico vary, with averages at $24.263 for regular in Mexico City and $26.016 for premium. Quintana Roo has the highest prices while Tamaulipas offers the lowest. Consumers can report overpriced gas stations to Profeco.


Gasoline Prices in Mexico as of February 2, 2025

La Nacional Gasolinero revealed fuel prices in Mexico on Sunday, February 2, 2025. The average cost of Magna gasoline is $24.273 per liter, Premium is at $25.72 per liter, and Diesel has an average value of $26.14 per liter.

Quintana Roo has the highest prices at $25.615 per liter of regular gasoline, followed by Nuevo León with $27.342 per liter of premium gasoline and Quintana Roo also tops the list with $27.370 per liter of diesel. Conversely, Tamaulipas offers the lowest prices at $22.047, $23.809, and $25.333 per liter of regular, premium, and diesel gasoline respectively.

In Mexico City, the average price of regular gasoline is $24.263 per liter, while premium is at $26.016 per liter. At the municipal level, Villa Unión in Coahuila stands out with the highest price for regular gasoline, San Sebastián del Oeste in Jalisco for premium, and Tlatlaya in Mexico for diesel. In contrast, Piedras Negras in Coahuila offers the lowest prices.

Consumers have the option to report gas stations that sell fuel at prices higher than those established by the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). The Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) provides the facility to report through its website or by calling a specific number.

Although international oil prices have recently decreased, gasoline costs in Mexico still remain high. It is essential that prices do not exceed the limits set by authorities to ensure a fair market for consumers.
