FEMSA and Coca-Cola FEMSA received outstanding ratings in the latest CDP evaluation for their commitment to sustainability in climate and water security management. This recognition reflects their leadership in environmental practices.


FEMSA and Coca-Cola FEMSA Achieve CDP Sustainability Recognition

The global nonprofit organization Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) has recognized the efforts of FEMSA and Coca-Cola FEMSA in sustainability management. Both companies have received outstanding scores in the CDP's most recent evaluation in the areas of Climate and Water Security, allowing them to achieve the Management category (B score), the second highest offered by the CDP.

Víctor Treviño, FEMSA's Director of Energy and Sustainability, emphasized that this recognition supports their goal of driving environmental initiatives that positively impact society. Transparency and climate action are fundamental pillars for a sustainable future, and FEMSA works daily to be part of the solution.

Coca-Cola FEMSA, for its part, has significantly improved its ratings in terms of Climate and Water Security, demonstrating a clear commitment to creating a sustainable future. The implementation of strategies aimed at reducing emissions and sustainable water access has been key to this progress.

The ratings awarded by the CDP are recognized as a standard for corporate transparency and environmental action, serving as an important reference for investors, customers, and interest groups worldwide. This recognition adds to the inclusion of both companies in the S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2025, highlighting their leadership in sustainability in the business sector.

In another matter, Cemex has reported its participation in the construction of Line 3 of the Cablebus in Mexico City, a project aimed at improving sustainable mobility in the area, reducing more than 2,000 tons of carbon dioxide thanks to the materials supplied for the work. Cemex's Vertua concretes have been fundamental in this project, ensuring the stability of the complex structures of the aerial system.

In Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Cemex has revolutionized urban infrastructure with its Paviflex technology, completely paving the interior roads of "La Gran Vía" with hydraulic concrete. This innovation helps reduce the "heat island" effect common in urban environments, providing a favorable climate solution for the community.

Finally, OXXO has launched a recycling initiative by partnering with BioBox to install smart machines in selected stores in some areas of Mexico. These machines allow for the separation, compaction, and shredding of recyclable solid waste, fostering a recycling culture and promoting the circular economy.
