Mexico City's 'Hoy No Circula' Traffic Restriction Program in Effect

The 'Hoy No Circula' program establishes measures applicable to vehicle circulation, with the aim of preventing, minimizing, and controlling pollutant emissions. To standardize and minimize the impact on the Megalopolis, Mexico City, and the State of Mexico, this measure was implemented to limit the circulation of private vehicles, regardless of the origin of their license plates. Different from the program used from Monday to Friday, the vehicles that do not circulate will depend on both the hologram and the ending of the license plates, divided between even (0-2-4-6-8) and odd (1-3-5-7-9). This Saturday, it will be vehicles with hologram 2 and foreign plates. It is important to mention that vehicles with Hologram 1, even plate ending, every second and fourth Saturday of the month, and foreigners applicable to all Saturdays also do not circulate.
