The 'Hoy No Circula' program establishes measures applicable to vehicular circulation, with the aim of preventing, minimizing, and controlling the emission of pollutants. To standardize and minimize the impact in the Megalopolis, Mexico City, and the State of Mexico, this measure was established to limit the circulation of private vehicles, regardless of the origin of the license plates. On Monday, the following vehicles cannot circulate: vehicles with a yellow sticker, license plates ending in 5 and 6, and vehicles with verification holograms 1 and 2. The following vehicles can circulate without any restrictions on Monday: holograms 0 and 00, electric and hybrid vehicles, vehicles driven by health personnel, motorcycles, and cars with disabled license plates. Please remember that the 'Hoy No Circula' schedule is in effect from 05:00 to 22:00. Failure to comply with the 'Hoy No Circula' program rules may result in a fine ranging from 2,075 to 3,112 pesos. The only day when 'Hoy No Circula' does not apply to any vehicle is Sunday, as it is excluded from all types of restrictions.
