In Mexico, over 15 million people are part of the senior adult population, but only 25% have a contributory pension. Against this backdrop, financial inclusion has become a key element to ensure stability and quality of life. In this context, Banco Azteca has developed an offering aimed at IMSS and ISSSTE pensioners, focused on two axes: health and immediate liquidity. “Financial inclusion for the elderly cannot be limited to opening a bank account; it must be accompanied by services that truly improve their quality of life,” stated Gabriela Hernández, Executive Director of Affiliation and Capture at the institution. As part of its proposal, people who receive their pension through Banco Azteca can access benefits such as advances from 400 pesos, loans ranging from one thousand to 300 thousand pesos, as well as free medical assistance, which allows for addressing urgent economic and health needs. Seniors, a focus for the banking sector. The design of financial products for this sector has evolved in recent years, moving from basic services to schemes that seek to address real needs, such as access to immediate cash or medical care. This trend responds to the growth of the aging population in the country and the challenges they face in terms of income, healthcare, and well-being. Presence at the Senior Adult Festival. As part of its outreach strategy, Banco Azteca will participate in the Senior Adult Festival, to be held from April 10 to 12 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City. The event aims to promote inclusion, well-being, and quality of life for older adults through activities, health guidance, culture, and finance. During the festival, the institution will provide information about its services and bring tools aimed at strengthening the financial peace of mind for this sector.
