Delays Reported on Multiple Metro Lines in Mexico City

Passengers in Mexico City are experiencing significant delays on several Metro lines, particularly Lines 2 and B. Commuters report waiting times of over 10 minutes, and high passenger volumes have created congestion at stations. Maintenance work on Line 1 is also affecting service, with planned renovations for Lines 3 and 9 starting soon.


Delays Reported on Multiple Metro Lines in Mexico City

In Mexico City, the cold has generated problems in the Metro this Tuesday, January 21, causing delays in at least three of its lines. Users on social media have complained about setbacks on Line 2 from the terminal station Cuatro Caminos, where trains are delayed in their departure, as well as in the opposite direction.

On Line B of the Metro, the situation is similar, with train delays and a high influx of passengers at the stations. According to a user's complaints, on Line B, trains take more than 10 minutes to arrive.

The Collective Transport System (STC) has indicated that the lines with the highest influx this Tuesday are 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, A, and B, with waiting times of up to 6 minutes.

Maintenance works continue at some stations of Line 1 of the Metro and will be expanded to lines 3 and 9. Recently, a tender for modernization works in 2025 was announced in the Gaceta CDMX, which includes Line 3 from Indios Verdes to Universidad, scheduled to start on February 6 and scheduled to end on December 15.

Additionally, changes are expected at the Pantitlán depot for Line 9, with work scheduled to start on the same date and end on December 31.

Users of the CDMX Metro are complaining about long waits at stations such as Ermita and on Line 8 towards Constitución de 1917, where they report slow progress and crowds waiting for the arrival of the train.
