On Friday, January 24, a series of incidents were reported in the Mexico City Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro. Several users have experienced problems on different lines, leading to congestion and delays in service. Passengers are advised to consider other mobility alternatives if possible.
On Line 1 of the Metro, there is a high influx of users from Pantitlán, causing the trains to move slowly with stops of up to five minutes at each station. Similarly, Line 12 shows high passenger demand, resulting in delays and stops between stations.
On the other hand, Line 3 (Green) faces serious issues in the progress of the trains despite not having user congestion that exceeds service capacity. Some passengers report waits of up to half an hour to travel just two stations, while Metro authorities indicate a wait time of six minutes.
In contrast, Line 4 operates with low demand and normalized service, Line 5 shows maximum demand but no reports of malfunctioning, and Line 6 presents a low influx of passengers. It is important to stay informed about the status of the lines and plan the trip in advance due to possible complications in Metro service.
