Today, Monday, January 27, the Collective Transport System (STC) Metro of Mexico City is experiencing disruptions on several of its lines. According to reports, Line B is facing delays of more than 10 minutes, despite users reporting last week that trains were stopping at every station.
Meanwhile, Line 1, although it has reopened the closed section from Balderas to Isabel La Católica, is also suffering from delays in train movement, causing inconveniences for passengers. In this regard, Metro CDMX has stated that, although Line 1 is not experiencing breakdowns, it is facing a high influx of users and is asking passengers to anticipate their trips.
As for Line 9, which runs from Pantitlán to Tacubaya, travelers report that it is moving very slowly and that trains are stopping excessively at each station. The Metro indicates that, although there are no technical problems on that line, efforts are being made to speed up train circulation.
Line 2, heading to Cuatro Caminos, has also experienced delays in train circulation, which has caused dissatisfaction among users. In light of this situation, it is recommended to take precautions when using the Metro, as slow progress and high passenger influx are being recorded on several lines.
In this context, measures such as the expansion of Metrobús routes and the opening of new lines are being considered to facilitate user mobility. Despite reports of high passenger traffic on various lines on social media, Metro CDMX is working to normalize the situation and expedite the transportation of passengers.
