Service Resumption of Cablebus in Mexico City

On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, the suspension of service on Line 1 of the Cablebus in Mexico City (CDMX), which connects Indios Verdes with La Pastora, was reported, along with the Tlalpexco-Campos Revolución route, due to an electrical failure. At 8:20 in the morning, Cablebus authorities reported that operations from Cuautepec to La Pastora had been restored.

Due to the inconveniences, buses from the Passenger Transport Network (RTP) were deployed to accommodate the high influx of users. Many expressed their dissatisfaction with the delays caused by the interruption of Cablebus service. After the short circuit, users were forced to seek alternatives to RTP buses, as they were expelled from the transport service.

The high demand for passengers at Indios Verdes caused frustration among citizens, who had to walk through the surrounding streets in search of transportation. Some users shared their frustration and the difficulty of finding mobility on social media, mentioning that the avenues were crowded with people walking.

Due to the lack of electrical supply, a provisional service was implemented on Line 1, from Indios Verdes to La Pastora, and on the Tlalpexco-Campos Revolución route. The company worked to restore full service from La Pastora to Cuautepec as soon as possible. Amid the disruption, users have had to resort to taxis and wait for other buses to arrive in order to reach their destinations.
