Metro service users report slow operations on Line 3 and heavy traffic on various lines. Authorities also plan new bus routes and expansions. Lost items can be retrieved at the Candelaria station.

Metro Service Updates and Lost Items Information

Today in the Collective Transportation System Metro of Mexico City, users report various situations affecting the service. Some mention brief stops of 2 to 3 minutes between stations, while others warn about losses of belongings in the Metro. These problems add to the slow progress experienced on line 9, according to testimonies on social media.

One user, Jair Salgado, shared on a digital platform that line 3 heading to Indios Verdes has interruptions in its route without reaching the next station. However, there are plans by the authorities of Mexico City to improve public transport, with the projection of Lines 0 and 8 of the Metrobús, as well as the extension to Toreo.

Regarding the influx on different Metro lines, variable wait times are recorded. For example, line 3 presents wait times of up to 10 minutes to board a train, while on lines 4 and 6 this time is reduced to 4 minutes. The maximum influx is highlighted on line 3 and high on lines such as 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, A, and B, with wait times of 5 and 6 minutes.

In case of lost belongings in the Metro, users are encouraged to contact the Lost and Found Office located at Candelaria Station on line 4. This office keeps forgotten belongings for up to three months, after which unclaimed items are transferred to social welfare government agencies. The office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Furthermore, there is the possibility to check the list of found items by the Metro by month through their website.
